At Co-Impact, we envision a world where all people can live fulfilling lives and systems and societies are just and inclusive. We stand for gender equality, where all women have the opportunity to exercise power, agency, and leadership at all levels.
In Brief
- We support program partners in Africa, Asia, and Latin America – working in powerful coalitions in the critical sectors of education, health, and economic opportunity. Our partners have the expertise, relationships, and political will required for lasting impact.
- We encourage a growing community of funding partners to work along with us, leveraging our experienced team to source, vet, and provide ongoing support to these initiatives.
- Together, we make larger, longer-term and more flexible grants to go beyond singular interventions and allow partners to focus on deep systemic change.
- Because we know that deep change cannot happen without the meaningful inclusion of women and girls, gender equality and inclusive development are animating principles across how we work, listen, and learn – including how we engage and work with all our partners.
Why Now?
- While the world has made significant social progress in recent decades, hundreds of millions of people still live precarious lives. The challenges we face are large, complex, and urgent.
- Philanthropy can make significant resources available to help address these challenges, but too often not enough money is being spent at the right time, nor on projects that address core challenges and support leadership in the Global South.
- The Co-Impact model is designed to support powerful systems change, at scale, that lasts over time. We focus on improving underlying government and market systems, and place particular emphasis on gender equality and inclusion across all aspects of our work.
